Because location is one of the top rank factors in local search, our client wanted to find a location that could both rank well quickly in Google Maps – but that obviously still had potential clients.

The firm focused on personal injury law, so we looked into:

1. Public statewide data on car accident injuries
2. Identified towns with an above average percentage of car accidents and car accident injuries
3. Researched the population in these towns
4. Narrowed our search based on SEO competition, population, and difficulty
5. Recommended 2 potential markets
6. Researched available office locations in these markets and presented our recommendations

After that, we helped verify and optimize Google Business Profile and the client’s website for Local SEO.

Our Law Firm SEO Results

Starting from exactly zero visibility with a brand new GBP, the client had over 80% share of local voice (the percentage of how often their business was in Google’s Map Pack) for many geo-specific keywords with the city name. The client also received 12 qualified leads and did secure clients just in the first 90 days from SEO – a notable metric when starting from scratch in the extremely competitive injury law niche, if you ask us!

By 6 months, the client had 80% share of local voice over 576 square miles (an area with nearly a 100,000 population) for the search term “car accident lawyers”
